E-banking Bangladesh is the first of the banking & financial technology events in Bangladesh. TPS having a prominent presence and a solid track record in Bangladesh, made its presence in the event with the spirit of promoting e-Banking drive in the country.
200 senior representatives from the banking and telecom sectors attended the event.TPS jointly exhibited with International Acumen, TPS’ reseller in Bangladesh, and GRG. Prospective and existing customers visited the booth and showed keen interest in TPS products and services. One such event sponsored by TPS is the 11th FAST NUCES’s premier programming, engineering and business event, ProCom.Net 2010. The competitions test the students skill, knowledge, speed, composure and pressure to its fullest in programming. Procom.net received an overwhelming response both from the students and the industry professionals who actively participated at the event.
NED TechElite 2010 was another event sponsored by TPS. TechElite was held on 29th April 2010 at NED University of Engineering and Technology. 350 students from 30 universities participated in the event. This event is also an effort by the university to give opportunity to the future engineers to compete & demonstrate their profiency and potential in their respective fields of IT.
TPS extended its support to the NED Engineering University students to participate at the Shell Eco Marathon 2010, Malaysia. This initiative provided an educational platform encouraging students around the world to design, build, and test fuel-efficient vehicles. There were 72 participants from ten countries including China, Indonesia, India, Iran, Japan, Malaysia, Philippine, Singapore and Thailand

| TPS unveils its Integrated Salary
Cards System and SDi at CME 2009 |

Cards
Middle East 2009, the leading cards and payments technology
conference & exhibition in the MEA region, took place
from 18-19 May 2009. CME is the region’s most successful
event focused on cards and payments.
Top companies from the cards and payments industry participated
in the event. Delegates met and learnt about emerging technology
trends, innovative products, state of the art services and
solutions related to card technologies and their usage for
payment programs.
Marking the significance of the event, TPS announced the
release of SMARTdeposit Integrated at Cards Middle East
2009; an innovative addition to SMART line of products designed
for NCR terminals. With the new architecture, SDi offers
transactions involving PIN validation via switch; as the
new architecture allows seamless transition between AANDC
and SDi. Transactional security is further enhanced via
the introduction of compliance with the PCI-DSS standards,
now allowing masking and encryption of confidential cardholder
data It removes the limitation of offering payment transaction
for cash only and brings in account debit option while enabling
the application to be deployed on any NCR ATM, be it 3-in-1
or dispenser only machine.
Dispelling the notion of recession, TPS attracted a lot
of crowd and concluded the event with a winning note. Al
Fardan Exchange – UAE, a leading money exchange and
remittance house signed a deal with TPS for IRIS switch
for its Integrated Salary Cards Solution. The signing ceremony
was held during the proceedings of Cards Middle East in
Dubai. TPS will provide end-to-end solution for wage payment
and online remittances to Al Fardan Exchange.
Besides the latest products, TPS continued to receive queries
of its other products “IRIS” (Integrated Salary
Cards System), “Sentinel” (Instant EMV card
issuance), InSight (Multi-Vendor, Agent-less
ATM Monitoring & Management Solution) and other solutions
from its range of switching and payment processing related
products that drive the complete alternate distribution
program of over 110 financial institutions and telcos in
30 countries worldwide.

Elite 2009, co-sponsored by TPS, was a very successful event
with more than 500 participants and over 6000 visitors.
About 140 teams from 30 universities from all over Pakistan
participated in the event.
The event offered not only an excellent platform for students
to demonstrate their potential to the corporate sector but
also helped different companies know high potential human
resource. Technical & HR lectures by TPS representative
were once again a house full with interactive sessions.
TPS acknowledged the winners of the competition, judges
and guests of honour with TPS branded goodie bags.
The success of TPS TechELITE ‘08 had boosted up the
morale of the CIS department and NED University inculcating
a wish to make future TechELITE an even bigger event with
TPS as event sponsor. Teams from different universities
in Pakistan like GIKI, SSUET, FAST, etc participated. Media
coverage of the event was exclusive with ads placed in leading
newspapers, television and social media websites.
Significant highlights of the event included: hosting by
Rabia Gharib, Editor-in-Chief of CIO and presence of Jehan
Ara (President P@SHA) as the chief guest. Many more industry
gurus shared their valuable experiences with the students

The
10th All Pakistan Programming, Engineering & Business
Competition - Procom.Net 2009 – sponsored by TPS,
was held on 2nd May, Saturday.
TPS, being a technology leader in its domain, regularly
sponsors technology oriented academic events all over the
country to encourage the growth and development of IT professionals
and industry.
Procom.Net as a distinctive event is focused on providing
a platform for students to assess their technical skills
and to compete for excellence in designing software and
hardware. The event hosted a range of 11 competitions comprising
Software Exhibition, Hardware Exhibition, Network Designing,
Innovative Business Ideas etc along with highly informative
seminars on upcoming technologies given by eminent professionals.
More than 600 participants comprising 200+ teams from all
over the country thronged the 12 competitions being held.
Overall, the crowd surpassed 800 head counts. That includes
representatives from 10 or more sponsors, FAST-NU senior
faculty members, industry executives, participants, students
and visitors. Dr. Prof. Ata-ur-Rehman graced the occasion
as chief guest and distributed the prizes to the winners.
TPS, as the main sponsor of the event, was covered thoroughly
by the print & electronic media present during the event.

| TPS Foosball Tournament 2009 |

TPS
organized a 7 day Foosball tournament that took place from
25-May to 1-Jun 2009, in the recreational arena within the
TPS premises.
TPS HR promotes such activities as they are effective
motivators for employees. Similarly, day outs, picnics and
sporting tournament are arranged on regular basis.
The matches usually kicked off at 4:00 pm each day. A total
of 29 teams participated in the knock out tournament who
were supported by their departments and teams creating a
lot of enthusiasm in the atmosphere. The tournament was
a huge success and got a phenomenal response from the TPS
family.
The exciting match of finals was taken away by Abdul Basit
& Tariq Ali while Amna Ishtiaq Khan & Gulafshan
Ashfaq took victory in the women’s match. It was an
interesting match with a lot of applause, roars and excitement
all across, which made the event thoroughly enjoyable.
After the match a ceremony was held in which prizes were
given out to the winners and runner-ups and certificates
were distributed among the participants of the tournament.

TPS sponsored event, ACM Softcom ’08
- an All Pakistan Software, Multimedia, Quiz and Speed Programming
Competition, organized by the students of GIKI, was indeed
a jewel in the crown of university events held in this year.
ACM, the world’s largest educational
and scienti?c computing society, delivers resources that advance
computing as a science and a profession. ACM - GIKI Chapter,
a sub domain of ACM International, organizes various technology
oriented events throughout the academic year.
Softcom ‘08 proved to be a great opportunity
for all the participants from all over Pakistan and abroad.
This provided a great platform for the contestants to compete
on the basis of pure merit and brilliance. The contesting
teams and individuals were awarded cash prizes summing up
to Rs. 500,000. 282 participants of 101 teams from around
50 universities participated in this event through 6 competitions.
The total audience summed up above 1200. TPS also exclusively
sponsored Speed Programming Competition.
Softcom ‘08 was not just a series of
hectic competitions. ACM GIKI chapter organized an Entertainment
Night for its SOFTCOM participants, featuring Irtaash, Cover
Bands and in-house performances. The E-Night helped the participants
ease out their tensions and enjoy their stay at the GIKI campus. |

| TPS holds General Body Meeting
2008 |

Another Annual General Body Meeting was
arranged on November 29, 2008 at the Khursheed Mahal Hall,
Avari Towers. The proceeding started at 3.00 with continued
sessions untill 9.00 p.m. as planned and was represented by
150 members of the TPS family.
The event started with a Qirat and brief
agenda and went straight into the presentations by all the
teams. Each of the presentations provided a well-rounded review
of their team’s performance, strengths, initiatives
and achievements over the past year while sharing their plans
for the year ahead. The team leads took the opportunity to
appreciate the performance of the star achievers for the year.
Two tea breaks in between sessions provided the employees
of TPS to socialize and enjoy some snacks. The annual general
body meeting brings an opportunity for all the employees to
share, learn and provide input on the past and future initiatives
as well as to coherently hear the employee’s views and
any suggestions or interests to streamline and make the processes
better for the year ahead.
The session ended with a well rounded and lively closing note
by the CEO, Mohammad Sohail and the director, Mubashir Rahim.
The speech by M. Sohail started by highlighting the overall
success of TPS during the past year and went on to enlighten
and flash in a few words the phases TPS has encountered since
1996. He highlighted the growth from a 2 man company to an
organization comprising over 150 members where success was
achieved simply because “TPS, as a united family, dared
to dream and followed its dreams with passion and single minded
devotion”.
The highly energized closing note was an encouraging and appreciative
one, commending TPS family for its meritorious achievements
during the year despite all the economic odds and global turmoil
and highlighted the company’s forward looking approach
to embrace the New Year with rejuvenated hope, vigor and enthusiasm.
He also said that the strength of TPS emanates from its core
values of unity, comradery, ingenuity and optimism. The closing
speech was followed by a dinner where everybody had a great
time. |

by TPS, the center of excellence Pakistan Air Force-Karachi
Institute of Economics & Technology efficiently organized
a fabulous, nation wide 2-day mega IT event, ComBat “The
Computing Battle” which consisted of programming, gaming
competition, hardware and software exhibition.
Continuing its motion to encourage IT initiatives
and development in Pakistan, TPS sponsored the event Combat
2008, held on 23rd & 24th August.
The event was an unusual success attracting
over 1000 visitors and comprehensive media coverage through
major electronic and print media. A record 326 participants
contested four competitions through 112 teams with 13 teams
being winners. 11 sponsors with an astounding total of 300
banners and branding opportunities added colour and commercial
value to the event. The chief guest,
Mr. Qamar Zaman Kaira – Federal Minister for IT encouraged
the students with his presence in the closing ceremony on
2nd day amidst high security alert in the city.
ComBat’08 was by far the most impressive
event organized by computer science society at PAF-KIET -main
campus that involved students from all corners of Pakistan.
Highly qualified and well-read scholars as well as professionals
from various fields judged the projects, keeping the competition
fair and challenging. Well-known government officials, distinguished
industrialists, businessmen and researchers visited to witness
the IT expertise of the youth of Pakistan. |

The
nation’s leading career exhibition and job fair, PASHA
Career Expo 2008 was held at Marriott Hotel, Karachi on
July 20, 2008. The full day event offered rich vocational
insight and professional corporate aura and thus attracted
massive audience. The lead national sponsors of the event
included multinational organizations like Intel and Microsoft.
The flourishing exhibition not only had job fair to its
credit, but also constituted comprehensive Workshops and
vivid panel discussions by the industry gurus; followed
by immensely practical and useful career counseling by company
CEOs, addressing the current issues commonly encountered
by the new job force. Then there were special interest group
discussions, for the expert techies and software cheetahs
that were full of technical jargons and latest versions
and techniques updates. The “startup Insiders”

aspiring entrepreneurs and enthusiastic young startups.
TPS actively participated in the career expo hosted by
P@SHA, interviewing over a 100 candidate and counseling
above 30 across the range of professions comprising software
development, quality assurance, technical support, business
development, human resource, finance and many more. The
entire TPS family was aptly represented through its key
persons from different departments and some 600 visitors
visited TPS booth only.

ROZEE.PK Job Fair 2008, held at Karachi Expo Center on 30th
March, 2008.
ROZEE.PK, now a four year old tradition of job fair, is greatly
popular with the job seekers and employers alike. It offers
an excellent platform for organizations to interact with qualified,
deserving and high caliber individuals. Pakistan’s 100+
leading employers and over 50,000 job- seekers participated
in the job fair at Karachi and more than 5000 attendees were

the students of FAST-NU, arranged PROCOM.net 2008 in collaboration
with IEEE – NUCES. The capable supervision of faculty
members ensured smooth and flawless execution from beginning
to end. Being the most distinctive event of the industry
at university level, it provides a platform for the neophytes,
and the gurus associated with the intriguing world of Information
technology to compete and test their technical expertise
and skills.
The two day event, held on 1st & 2nd May, hosted a
range of 11 competitions comprising Software Exhibition,
Hardware Exhibition, Circuit Designing, E-Zenith, Network
Designing, I-Cube, Gaming, Innovative Business Ideas and
Ad-Film Making along with highly informative seminars on
upcoming technologies given by eminent professionals. All
in all, there were 202 teams, above 600 participants and
22 winners. Procom.net proved be a synergy of competitions,
conventions and conferences where people came together to
