| SCB replaces
switch – Phoenix implemented as a unified ATM Controller |
Standard Chartered Bank Pakistan, the largest foreign
bank in Pakistan, had 3 options after the merger with
Union Bank 1) To outsource the ATM switching functions
to EuroNet where most of the countries in the group
had been going. 2) If switch is to be in-house, upgrade
existing CR2‘s Sparrow to its latest version.
3) To have Phoenix.
After evaluation and due diligence, SCBPL selected
Phoenix as the ATM switching system and Transaction
Platform for the combined bank. Phoenix was selected
over other world class solutions because of the flexibility
it offers, the cost-effectiveness inherent to the
local company, time to market the solutions and the
functionalities of Phoenix.

Habib Bank Limited, with an extensive
local network of over 1425 and 55+ international branches,
has the largest branch network in Pakistan. When HBL
decided to replace its in-house developed distributed
core banking system MOBS with a centralized banking
solution MISYS, the biggest challenge was to maintain
continuity of the bank’s ADC operations. TPS facilitated

| HBL selects Phoenix to revamp its remote banking infrastructure in Oman |
HBL Oman is one of the Habib Bank’s
global initiatives to serve local and international
customers in the Middle East. As HBL improved its customer
base in Oman, the bank experienced a drastic increase
in transaction volumes and its existing transaction
processing system could not handle this boost.
HBL selected Phoenix switching middleware to handle
increasing transaction volume and offer completely
characterized self-service banking services to its
customers in Oman. Phoenix will replace the existing
switch, offering reliability, flexibility, maturity
and focused services at par with HBL’s commitment
to excellence.
