Business Analyst


Qualification: Bachelors in Computer Science/MBA preferred
Experience: Minimum3 to 5years requirement elicitation experience (formal or otherwise) Minimum 2 years of experience in a managerial/lead role

Job Summary:
The Business Analyst (BA) will be responsible for gathering and understanding the market requirements with respect to the specific products and within boundaries of the approved roadmaps of those products. The BA will ensure together with the Product Manager (PM) and other stakeholders, that the market requirements are accurately translated into product requirements. The BA is expected to support the development of these product requirements into product features and validate these features against market and PM’s expectations.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Elicit requirements using interviews, published customer, competitor, industry and other documents analysis, requirements workshops, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish the requests from the underlying true needs
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artefacts as needed: Business Requirements Document, Process / Workflow using Flowchart or Swim lane, Use Cases, Wireframes and Interfacing requirements using API signatures etc.
  • Utilize his/her experience in identifying and resolving cross-product dependencies
  • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Work independently with relevant stakeholders to define concepts and requirements; and under the direction of the product managers
  • Strong analytical skills and product management concepts are required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into product and operational requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Serves as the conduit between the (internal and external) customers and the product development team, through which requirements flow
  • Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language
  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the business vision and analyze trade-offs between user experience, business and architectural constraints

  • Understanding of payment systems would be a plus
